Secure your Accounts !!! Stay one step ahead of hackers...!!

Undefined Soul 2:22 PM
Hey guys,
Got a little time, and also was getting bored so thought why not write an article...

Ok, nowadays i have seen many people getting hacked in Myspace , Orkut , Facebook , Twitter , and many other websites..

Hacking accounts is nothing a big man's task, it's just a common sense , and to make benefit of the victim's foolishness.

So, here are a few Tips to make your account more secure.

If you follow all the steps them trust me there are more than 90% of chances, that no one can hack you...
but humans are humans lolzzz

1) Your password should contain Alphabets , Numeric and Special Characters as well... (A Must)

As there are some attacks like Brute Force or Dictionary attacks that can happen so to prevent this make sure your password is not easily guessable or can be broken.

2) Your password length should be atleast more than 10 characters.. (A Must)

As i said above in these methods if a person is still able to get passwords, then almost every software will take around dayzzz to get the complete password of this length... I myself using a password of more than 15 characters...

3) Your security question should be the easiest !! (A Must)

Yes, you should have the security question the most easiest, that can be guessed.
But the twist is, set the answer to the question fully unique..
Like if your question is "What is your Birth Place?"
Then set the answer like your mobile number , your car number, your dog's name or something like that,
this will make the hacker mad as he won't be able to break it :p

4) Use same username and password (Optional)

If you are a person who loves to make accounts on many sites like me...
i have accounts in so many sites that if i want to see on which all sites i have my account, i have to check it in Google, i just type my Username in google and press enter and all the sites came up..

5) Un-check the Remember My password (A Must)

Most of the sites we visit, ask us to if you want to remember the password or not...
i would suggest you to uncheck that option , don't ever make websites to remember your password nor does your browser..
When you make your browser remember your user name and password, it make a cookie in which your password is saved.
So a hacker can use a cookie stealing attack to get your user names and password. So avoid that.

6)Hide your Personal Information (Recomended)

Try to hide all your personal information on social networking sites, because i have seen, that many who hack profiles, by Forget My Password option, which we can call a Brute Force attack in Technical words...
Is by using all your personal information. i myself has done many times and some times it works...
So till the time your secret question's answer or your password is related to your personal information, try and hids as much information as you can.

umm... nothing's more coming to my mind right now..lolzz

so i guess that's it for now.

and yes am trying to write an E-book of my own , so if i myself got lucky then probably i'll write one :p

till then enjoy take care of yourself and your Computer Security...
